Summary: Since 2005 the City of Brussels, with the aim to encourage the visual arts in all its forms, opens up the B-Gallery, formerly the Bortier Gallery, in particular charmte Bortier Gallery, as an exhibition space for artists who live in Belgium and have an artistic career of less than ten years. This brochure offers a biography of the artists, their work and a short text about their intentions.
Artists: Ann Van Gompel, Isabelle Francis, Patrice Broquier, Celine Cléron, Léopoldine Roux, Liesbeth Marit, Jean-Baptiste Bernadet, Ridha Ben Hmouda, Richard Agnello, Annelies Slabbynck were selected on the basis of an annual call for young artists and selected by a jury consisting of journalists, art historians and professors from art academies to each present a solo exhibition.
