Geenen won the Input/Output Art Prize for emerging artists in 2007 and in 2011 he was awarded the first prize ‘Fondation Henri Servais’ from the Art’Contest Art Prize. His first institutional solo exhibition ‘This land is my land. This land is your land.’ was presented at ARGOS Centre for Art and Media in Brussels in 2015. Together with audiovisual artists Sirah Foighel Brutman, Eitan Efrat and Meggy Rustamova he is a founding member of Messidor, a collective platform for reflection, production and distribution.
