The museums of Brussels open their doors during the evening for the Museum Night Fever. Come and discover, from 7pm to 1am, the many performances and workshops scheduled for this exceptional opening.

For the 2020 edition of MNF, CENTRALE goes wild and electrifies its usual setting! The programme of this edition features performances by students of the ISAC (Institut Supérieur des Arts et des Chorégraphies) in resonance with the work of the exhibited artists, Roger Ballen and Ronny Delrue. The more daring among us can get permanent flash tattoos by young Brussels artists and, for those not ready for that level of commitment, ephemeral tattoos by Elsa Adamus and Ataraxy.

[PERFORMANCE]
What if you not only watch a performance, but also actively participate in it? From spectator to actor! After a month of hard work and a master class together, the students of the ISAC and the Danish choreographer Adriano Wilfert Jensen invite you to experiment with them and change your perceptions.

Spectatorship is commonly understood as something rather passive, something that happens to you. But what happens when you take serious the way you spectate: watch, see, sense, breath, behave…?

Borrowing the figure of the rorschach, Behavings frames the dance as much as it frames the projections of the spectators. And while the formal roles remain – spectators spectating and dancers dancing – this rorschach is responsive to the spectatorship practice it is exposed to.

As a dance Behavings behaves in transmission of engagements: circling and leaking, feelings with ambiguous origin, contingent expressions. Behavings asks: what kind of spectatorship slipped in with you today? And how would you like to practice it in this session?

[FLASH TATTOOS]
For one night only, tattoo art is omnipresent at CENTRALE for Contemporary Art. Balafre Tattoo, Garance Mor and Naboy are there to fulfill your wishes. Between Balafre‘s dark naive drawings, Garance‘s ingenious pessimism with vegan ink or Naboy‘s (acronym for Nights Are Beautiful Of You) poetry written with needles: plenty of daring choices. Don’t forget to book with your favourite artist via Instagram before 13/03/2020 !

[TEMPORARY TATTOOS]
Leave with an unforgettable -yet erasable- souvenir specially designed by young Brussels talents! The Greek-born illustrator and graphic designer Ataraxy and the versatile Elsa Adamus will decorate your skin with ephemeral tattoos inspired by the works of Roger Ballen and Ronny Delrue. In the universe of Elsa Adamus, drawing, painting and writing are both candid and sincere. Between eroticism, mythology and the unconscious, Ataraxy opens up a mysterious world of deformations and psychic agitation. Let yourself be tempted by one of their unique ephemeral creations.
