Meeting and exchanges day with collectors

For the second time, CENTRALE organizes a meeting day around collectors. The first one, Passions dévoilées took place as part of the exhibition Invitation au voyage organized to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Prix Marcel Duchamp in collaboration with the ADIAF.

This year’s study entitled Passions bruxelloises dévoilées is part of the exhibition Private Choices which presents 11 Brussels collections of contemporary art. Through the testimonies and interventions of major actors of the Brussels scene, the impact of Brussels collectors will be highlighted around several chapters:     

  • Observe the collection: presentations by curators, researchers and journalists

  • Building the collection at a local level and its international impact: testimonials from collectors, gallery owners, artists     

With : Christophe Veys, Frédéric De Goldschmidt, Walter Vanhaerents (Vanhaerents Collection), Alexis Rastel (Archiraar)

  • The role and place of women collectors: testimonials from Brussels women collectors    

With : Galila, Chantal R.PATT, Nathalie Guiot (Thalie Art Foundation)

  • Share the collection: new initiatives of non-profit places and emblematic collectors of the dynamism of the Brussels art scene

With : Olivier Gevart (Été 78), Alain Servais, Chris Bestebreurtje & Petra Kuipers (Tlön Projects), Ferdinand Fabre (Garage Cosmos), Manuel Abendroth & Els Vermang (Société)
